"Dilexit Nos": Sacred Heart Fiesta 2025

The Sacred Heart Parish-Shrine, Diocese of Cubao, joyfully announces its 2025 Fiesta Celebration in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, marking 84 years as a parish (1941–2025), 9 years as a diocesan shrine, and the 150th Jubilee of the Society of the Divine Word (SVD). With the theme “Dilexit Nos – Minahal Niya Tayo,” inspired by Pope Francis’ final encyclical on the Sacred Heart, the celebration calls all the faithful to rediscover the love of Christ in the face of today’s growing indifference and division.

A Novena of Masses will be held from June 18 to 26 at 6:00 PM nightly, except on Sunday, June 22, which will be at 5:30 PM.

Each Mass will be preceded by a Holy Hour at 5:00 PM.

On June 22, the parish will also celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, beginning with a short novena at 5:15 PM, followed by the 5:30 PM Mass and a Eucharistic Procession.

Alongside these spiritual celebrations, various community-building activities are scheduled. A major highlight of the celebration is the Fiesta Caravan Fair on June 19 (Thursday), where parishioners and guests can avail themselves of a wide range of free public services, courtesy of the LGU of Quezon City, including:

On June 20 (Friday), a Bingo Fellowship open to all parishioners and guests will be held.On June 21 (Saturday), the day will begin with community jogging at 4:00 AM, followed by a Zumba session after the morning Mass.

In the afternoon, the Catechetical and Bible Apostolate Ministries will host a Bible Quiz Bee for children, and in the evening, the parish youth ministry will hold a vibrant Youth Night.

On June 27 (Friday), Fiesta Day, the Solemn Mass will be presided over by Most Rev. Honesto Ongtioco, DD, Bishop of Cubao, at 6:00 PM. That morning, the parish will also host a Jubilee Holy Mass with the homeless, as a gesture of mercy and solidarity in this special Year of Hope.

Finally, the celebrations will culminate on June 29 (Sunday) with a Dawn Procession at 4:00 AM, followed by Mass and a communal Almusalang Bayan.
