SVD

Founded in 1875 in Steyl, Holland by the German priest, now Saint Arnold Janssen, the Society of the Divine Word (Latin: Societas Verbi Divini, SVD) is a Catholic clerical religious congregation of Pontifical Right for men. As of 2020, it comprised 5,965 members, including priests and religious brothers, serving in more than 70 countries.
